About Us
We are Patti-Jo and Sarah Gibson, a mother-daughter team living and crafting in the Western mountains of Maine.

Our studio is located on the family farm, surrounded by flower gardens and animals, where we receive daily visits from the ducks, chickens and dogs.
Since retiring, Patti-Jo fills her time with many different quilting and sewing classes. Sarah, working in the culinary field, was looking for a low-stress hobby. We found a shared passion in sewing, fueled by generations of quilters and crafters.

We have always enjoyed each others company and you will often find us together, shopping, fooding, road-tripping, sewing, or just hanging out. In recent years, we have done a lot of traveling; most memorably a three-week road trip up the West coast after Sarah returned from her six-month work stint in Antarctica. We also really love to garden. If you don’t find us in a fabric store, you’ll find us in a greenhouse. We are avid music and audiobook listeners. Our studio’s sound system always has something playing. We love all types of music and are often singing along, usually off-key.

Then, of course, there are the dogs. Killian, a Bernese Mountain Dog and Diego, a Catahoula Leopard. They have the run of the studio and are always in and out, playing with the abundance of toys, napping in the sun…..or nudging our arms for attention.
After a couple of years sewing for ourselves and doing some small, local craft fairs, we decided to create Jo Gibson Studio with the goal to provide quality handmade products. We love finding new ideas or tweaking old ones, and are always evolving. As well as here on the website, you can find a collection of our products in a few local Maine artisan shops.

Thank you for visiting our website, we hope you'll love our products.
